Warfinger in T.A. 1640-1650:

- Purpose: A waystation along the south fork of the Men Rhúnen; a defensive point against invasions from the East; a base for scouting operations in Rhûn

The small garrison at Warfinger (S. Authleber; Q. Ohtalepet) was situated far away from the authority of the Regent in Thorontir. As a result discipline was usually lax among the seasoned border troops.
