Trevani was a Dúnedain Ranger of the North who often guarded the borders of the Shire during the Third Age. Married to Gilbarad, Trevani had a daughter named Ivorwen, who was gifted to be foresighted. She was also the great-grandmother of Aragorn, a man who would grow to become a King of the Reunited Kingdom.
