The all purpose knife used by the Northmen of Rhovanion. The blade of the knife could be anywhere from 10 to 50 cm long, but all were single edged and triangular in cross-section.The longer variants were sometimes called Langsax and the shorter Scramasax or Hadsax. The back of the blade ran parallell to the edge, usually tapering only at the end to meet the tip. The handles were broad and riveted just below the pommel, which was round or onion shaped, while the grips were made of leather or wood.
