Púkel-men (Drû. "Abhân-khor-Drû") were stone effigies formed after the example of their constructors, the Drúedain. The Drúadan magicians were able to transfer some of their life energy to their stone statues, which enabled these to act as guardians, with some rudimentary intelligence of their own. In return the Drûg-conjurers suffered some of the damage their constructs took. Púkel-men usually "died" with the decease of their makers.
