Penlodh the tall was a noldo lord of Gondolin.He was the head of two of the cities houses, the House of the Pillar and the House of the Tower of Snow.He fell in the Battle of Gondolin during the Gondolindrims retreat to the inner city, fighting with his back to the wall.His young son Pengolodh was among the refugees who escaped to the Havens of Sirion led by Tuor Eladar and Idril Celebrindal.
