Cirithdunrandir

Named after the first Prince of Belfalas, Orod Edhelion (S. "Mount Edhelion") was the tallest mountain of the Ered Tarthonion and was the highest point in central Gondor, reaching a height of 6.900 feet. Orod Edhelion formed the northern wall of the Cirith Dudhrandir, only a few miles northeast of Naur Amrûn. A narrow trail switched back up the south slope of Orod Edhelion to the mountain's saddle, which served as the foundation of the highest beacon tower in all of Belfalas. This tower was visible from both the Naur Amrûn beacon and from its northerly counterpart, more than twenty miles away, across the Cûm Taran beyond.[citation needed]
