Meril (F.A. 20 - F.A. 495) was a beautiful Elven Lady who lived in Nargothrond under the rule of Finrod Felagund. Married to Orodreth, some said she was the mother of Haldir Orodlin, Gil-galad and Finduilas. She was slain by Orcs of Morgoth's army while fighting to protect her daughter during the fall of Nargothrond.
