The Machine-Tribe (Orc."Goid-Hai") were one of several orcish tribal confederations in which the Orcs of Mordor had split after the Fall of Barad-dur in the War of the last Alliance.The Goid-Hai delighted in the cult of the machine, engines, explosives, steam and fire and were cunning smiths and technicians. After Saurons return during the years of TA 1980-2002 the remaining machine- Orcs were reorganised and redistributed into newly founded Tribal coalitions , many were deployed to the industrial region of Udûn or to units where their masters found them useful as engineers, Workers and Sappers.
