Lurz was a brutal, nasty, and smart Fighting-Orc of Mordor. He enjoyed to belittle his soldiers, but when he once foolishly belittled an uprising Uruk named Shagrat, the angry Uruk attacked him and took his eye as a sign to never insult him again. He continued to serve in Sauron's armies during the War of the Ring and commanded a guard-troop in the upper parts of Barad-dûr until he was transferred to the Morannon.
He was a friend of Bug and Lug.
