Legolas Greenleaf was a Noldo and hero of Gondolin.He was a young member of the House of the Tree and served as a scout under his Lord Galdor of the Tree.Because of his sharp eyes, he was chosen to lead the refugees of Gondolin through the Cristhorn.At the end of the first Age he retired to Tol Eressea where he was known as "Laiqalasse".As he was a friend of Oropher's family on Balar, Thranduil eventually named his son Legolas II Greenleaf after him (N).
