The Isengard Orcs or Orcs of the white Hand were the orc tribe or tribal confederation loyal to Saruman the White.

Their ancestors had been a collection of various different breeds including larger Goblins and Mountain Orcs of the north, lower Snagas or slave- and deep-Orcs as well as renegade or feral Uruk-Hai , but all of them were in some level exposed to Sarumans sorcerous experiments of mingling the lines of Orc and man and had at last some degree of goblin-man blood, resulting in a tribe that was entirely immune to sunlight but white eyed, bereft of night-vision, covered by a mix of swart orc-hide and sallow-spots of what appeared to be human-skin and in many other aspects visually different from all other Orc breeds, though only few of them were identifyable as "man-orcs" or "orc-men" on first sight and most of them, having only very remote mannish ancestry, insisted on being true Orcs, Uruk-hai or Snagas, and not what they despised as "halfmen".

The great tribal confederation proper was also known as the Sharak-Hai (Or.:"White-Hand People"), though it also included smaller subdued tribes such as the Thrak-Burzum, Barz-Thrugrim and even the Orcs of Isengard proper were divided into a number of sub-tribes or divisions including the Grishgúk, Isendale-Goblins, Nâkhmau, Nink-Hai and Shak-Hai.

Movie Trilogy[]

In the Movie Trilogy the White Hand Orcs are shown as belonging to at least two different breeds, smaller Snaga Orcs acting as slaves, workers and Wolfriders and large Uruk-Hai, though some lesser Orcs also appear to be of greater statue (mostly Saruman's Overseers).
