Gladden Fields (S. "Loeg Ningloron"): Marshy bog-lands were situated near the junction of rivers Gladden and Anduin. In T.A. 2, High-king Isildur met his doom at the hands of a marauding Orc party here, losing Sauron's One Ring and his own life. Fifteen hundred years later, a small colony of Stoor Hobbits still made its home on the rivers' banks, hiding their homes among the reeds; also between T.A. 1944 and 1977 the Éothéod had made their home in and near the Gladden Fields.

The Gladden Fields were later most noted as the hidden resting place of the One Ring for nearly two-and-a-half thousand years, until accidentally found by the Halfling Déagol.
