A spire of glassy black rock in the heights of the  Mirkwood Mountains, Sarn Goriwing was built by the Nazgul at the source of the river Gulduin, the black River of Enchantment in northern Mirkwood.  It was a smallish outpost of Mordor,a citadel of the evil home to reclusive sorcerer Lhachglin , orc raiders and occasionally to trolls who lived nearby.
