Barad Thoron (S. "Tower [of the] Eagle") was one of a line of three towers located along the Weather Hills in Uimirrildor, one every twenty miles. Barad Ever and Barad Narn lay to the south. They were connected by a military road, an extension of the Weather Road, that ran along the eastern slopes of the Emyn Sûl. It served as home to some fifty peasants who tended the towers' herds and gardens, as well defending the walls in need.
