Erkna-stainae on river Gladden

The Erchan-Steini (older "Erkna-stainae") were a group of steep black Rocks in the upper Sîr Ninglor vale. They were considered holy by some of the local Woodman tribes who held up a semi-permanent camp and watch at the site.

MERP gives the original form as "Eorcan", thias was corrected to Erkna-stainae in latinized Gothic for the time about TA 1640, or Erchan-Steini in modified old frankish for later times. The possible Eotheodan form could be"Eorcnan-Stanas".
