Pan Dondril (S."Settlement of the shining fist") was a Township of Dol Caladir in Minhiriath.It lay about fifty miles west of Tharbad.The town had a quite large populatin of 3,100 in TA 250.However it's population declined after the mid-Third Age and the settlement was eventually abandoned by TA 1400.

- In the 2017 version of his article Population and Urbanisation in Eriador, Thomas Morwinsky renames the location previously identified as "Dongril" as "Benglaras" while reassigning the name "Dongril" to the location previously identified on some maps as Tharaman. (published in Other Minds Magazine Issue 13 (.PDF))
- Dongril could also represent a pre-númenórean name, however during the rule of the Dúnedain it would certainly have had an official Sindarin name.
