Living only in the southernmost reaches of Gorgoroth next to the Eregwath, the slow-moving lizards feasted upon small rodents and insects. Reaching three feet in length and weighing up to twenty pounds, they were left alone by larger predators as the taste of their flesh was repugnant. Glands in their large jaws secreted an irritating poison used to stun smaller animals
