Argirion (S. from ar- + cirion: "Noble-sailor") was the lord of Linhir, the second-largest city in Dor-en-Ernil. He was a well-respected military commander, but less skilled in dealing with civilian problems. Therefore, smuggling and corruption throve in Linhir.

Detailed description[]

Argirion, the Lord of Linhir, was a warrior of great ability. His training in Pelargir made him a well-respected military commander, and the Prince relied on him to administer the second most important site in his domain. Argirion came from an old Dúnadan family with a fine martial tradition, so his troops admired him, but he was less skilled at handling his civilian subordinates. His attempts to order them about like soldiers disturbed his peers and created quiet unrest within the ranks of Linhir's small government. This may explain why, despite his personal honesty, Argirion had little success at rooting out local corruption – or at stopping smuggling.

Argirion was a powerfully built, greying fellow of late middle age. He was married, and resided and ruled from the Lord's Keep. He wore mithril half-plate armour and carried a broadsword.
